Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center, located in the Round Rock, TX (a suburb of Austin), is currently seeking a full-time, ER Veterinarian Mentor to join our team.
OUR PRACTICE
We are an AAHA accredited, Fear Free Certified (currently the ONLY ER/Specialty hospital that is certified in the area!), full-service 24/7 hospital, with dedicated doctors providing high quality medical care to the companion animal population in Austin and surrounding areas. We provide specialty care in the departments of Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Oncology (Medical). Our specialists have been here long term and are dedicated to quality medicine. We partner with an on-site cardiologist 2 days a week and have ultrasound (performed with sonographer and reviewed by radiologist) available Monday-Saturday.
The hospital is well equipped with a full range of diagnostic and treatment equipment including commercial-grade lab diagnostics, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry, anesthesia, flexible & rigid endoscopy, ultrasound (including bedside), telemetry, blood gas, cystoscopy, cryotherapy, and CT imaging. Facilities include an isolation ward. We have a planned move to a new facility built to our specifications (close to our current location) in early 2025.
For the ER, we have a supportive and helpful relief pool to help with ER staffing and coverage. The hospital manager and medical directors are experienced and value open communication and truly care about DVM well-being.
WE RECENTLY MOVED TO A NEW FACILITY, BUILT TO OUR SPECIFICATIONS (not far from our current location)
OUR HOME
The Austin area is home to a wide variety of activities and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. In addition to being home to many technology corporations, Austin is known as "The Live Music Capital of the World", highlighted by a robust restaurant scene, multiple festivals, many outdoor activities, and water sports at the area lakes/rivers.
