Neurology Physician Assistant

Schedule & Shifts:

-Shift Times: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
-Days: Monday Friday
-Shifts per Month: 20
-Call: Not required

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide inpatient rounding on neurology patients
-Perform new patient consults and follow-up evaluations
-Manage stroke alerts and respond to acute ED cases and transfer evaluations
-Assist in pre- and post-operative management of endovascular cases
-Collaborate closely with attending neurologists and multidisciplinary care teams
-Support intermittent clinic in-basket management as needed

Position Highlights:

-Setting: Inpatient neurology with full privileges
-Case Mix: 100% adult; stroke and general neurology focus
-Team Model: Work alongside attending neurologists; not a solo role
-Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

Qualifications

-Active Illinois NP or PA license (required)
-Minimum 1 year of experience in neurology or acute care
-Board Certified or Board Eligible
-Certifications Required: ACLS & BLS
-CSR License required
-Epic EMR experience preferred
