The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are seeking a full-time physiatrist for our growing department. The candidate will provide neurorehabilitation and electrodiagnostic services for patients within the UPMC Rehabilitation Network in the outpatient and inpatient setting. We offer opportunities for teaching, research and administrative leadership.
Candidate must be board certified/eligible in PM&R and successfully demonstrate strong organizational, communication, teaching and leadership skills. Clinical skills required for this position would include electrodiagnostic techniques and neuromuscular ultrasound evaluation. Fellowship training in neuromuscular medicine is desirable but not required. Membership in the AANEM with board certification by the ABEM is also strongly encouraged. Leadership opportunities within our robust multi-disciplinary electrodiagnostic laboratory is available for appropriate candidates. Clinical and academic track appointments are available, and the positions are well supported by superb staff and facilities.

Evidence of scholarly productivity is required for appointment in the tenure stream, including teaching and academic service, publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and a history of successful funding acquisition. The primary requirement for conferral of tenure is an outstanding record of sustained independent scholarship across the various activities listed above.
