Position Purpose:
The Academic Accountable Care Unit at Mount Carmel St. Ann's is a 35-bed intermediate care unit. The Registered Nurse would expect to see a mixture of medical/surgical, telemetry and critically ill patients with several co-morbidities. Most patients have underlying cardiac issues. This unit is a great area to grow and learn - wonderful opportunity to grow to ICU. It is a fast-paced, great teamwork and engaging environment with a focus on individualized and evidence-based care. Nurses on this unit will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple disciplines such as resident interns, attending physicians, pharmacy and case management in a teaching environment aimed at providing the best model of patient care.
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Staff Registered Nurse, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Registered Nurse collaborates in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.
