Family or Specialty Nurse Practitioner Certification
Minimum 2 years Cardiology Field Experience
Summary of Performance Expectations:
Promotes a professional, patient-centered practice image
Performs history-taking, physical exams, diagnosis, and therapeutic treatment regimens as required
Interprets lab results under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician
Utilizes a team-based approach in all clinical tasks
Education and Credentials:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and Nurse Practitioner Program
Current North Carolina (NC) license
ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), required within 3 months of employment
Preferred:
Family or Specialty Nurse Practitioner Certification
Work Experience:
Required:
Must meet specific requirements of the practice area
Should achieve basic job proficiency within 3 months of employment, with training and on-the-job experience
Preferred:
Two or more years of experience in the related practice area
