Job Summary:
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing and busy urology clinic. In this role, you will provide healthcare in collaboration with physicians, assisting in surgery, clinic, hospital, and on-call duties as needed. You will manage selected cases according to established protocols, maintain case histories and medical reports, prepare treatment plans, order diagnostic procedures such as x-rays, write prescriptions, and refer patients for acute and chronic care. Additionally, you will provide patient education and conduct health assessments using diagnostic tools and laboratory tests.
Qualifications:
Currently licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure and Supervision or the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
Experience in a clinic or ambulatory setting preferred
Licensed under the supervision of an Active Staff physician
Physically and mentally able to perform job duties as outlined
Maintains malpractice coverage as required
Current CPR certification or completion of CPR course within 30 days of hire
Physical Requirements:
Adequate perception of sounds or hearing with correction
Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, for preparing reports, evaluating patients, and reading written materials
Ability to discriminate minute details and communicate in English, both written and oral
Ability to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel
Must be able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care
Fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to administer medications and handle instruments
Ability to work in a latex-burdened environment
