Summary
Provides medical care to adolescent and adult female patients from puberty through pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause. The OB/GYN physician possesses special knowledge, skills and professional capability in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders. May serve as a consultant to other physicians, and as a primary physician for women. In addition, the physician is part of a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team and is expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of PCMH.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Assists and supports Site Manager in the training and supervision of clinical medical support staff, mid-level practitioners and students. Carries out training and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Family Circle of Care policies and applicable laws. Directs and coordinates the clinical patient care activities of nursing and support staff as . Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work flow; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Doctoral degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy ; completion of postgraduate residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. 3-5 years’ experience preferred but not .
Equipment
Working knowledge of clinical equipment i.e. scales, thermometers, dynamap, nebulizers, glucose meters, pressure monitors, basic bedside ultrasound imaging and any other point of care testing equipment.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems, EPIC preferred; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in the state of Texas; BLS, ACLS and PALS Certified; Federal DEA Certification; Board certified or Board Eligible in obstetrics and gynecology Medicine. Must be credentialed per Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System policies and procedures; employee responsible for all renewals and CME requirements needed for all licensure and credentialing.
