Licenses & Certifications Required
  • Board Certification:
    • Board Certified (ABOG or AOBOG)
    • Board Eligible within 5 years accepted
  • California Medical License: Required
  • DEA License: Required at time of credentialing
  • Training: Completion of ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in OB/GYN
  • Experience:
    • Must have performed at least 100 gynecologic surgical procedures in the last 2 years
    • OR recent completion of a formal residency or clinical fellowshipProctoring Requirements
      • OB Proctoring:
        • First 2 non-emergency deliveries observed (1 must be a C-section)
      • GYN Proctoring:
        • 3 cases total:
          • 1 hysteroscopy
          • 1 operative laparoscopy
          • 1 open laparotomy
          • Retrospective chart review over a minimum 3-month period also requiredFacility Details
            • Setting: Hospital-based, with a dedicated Family Birthing Center (L&D with in-house OR for C-sections)
            • EMR: Cerner
            • Delivery Volume: 23-30 deliveries/month (up to 40/month possible)
            • Reason for Coverage: Maternity leave and provider cancellation
            Clinical Duties
            • Vaginal deliveries, C-sections
            • Emergency Department OB/GYN call coverage
            • Full-scope OB/GYN practice
            Support Staff
            • On-call Anesthesiologist (after hours/weekends)
            • General Surgeons
            • 3 local OB/GYNs and 1 Family Medicine OB
            • Pediatrician on call
            • Skilled respiratory therapists
