Job Title: Part-Time Oral Surgeon

Job Overview:
Oxford Dental is seeking an experienced and compassionate Oral Surgeon to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing a wide range of oral surgical procedures, including tooth extractions, dental implants, and sedation. As a part-time member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to our patients 2-4 times a month in our state-of-the-art practice located in Oxford, Mississippi.
Responsibilities:
- Perform oral and maxillofacial surgeries such as tooth extractions, dental implants, biopsies, and other surgical treatments.
- Work closely with our team of general dentists and staff to develop and execute treatment plans for surgical patients.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during and after surgical procedures.
- Provide patients with clear post-operative care instructions and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using our electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with patients about their surgical needs, treatment options, and expected recovery timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in oral surgery techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
- Board certification or board eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- Valid state dental license and necessary certifications (BLS, ACLS, etc.).
- Previous experience in oral surgery preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.
