As a clinician at our OB hospitalist program, you'll be in the hospital 24/7 to perform real-time triage on every patient entering the labor and delivery unit or obstetric emergency department (OBED). Your presence will reduce delays in emergency OB/GYN care, improve outcomes, increase patient satisfaction and support community clinicians.
AdventHealth Hendersonville, part of the faith-based AdventHealth system, provides comprehensive care based on a whole person philosophy via their award-winning team of obstetricians, pediatric specialists and certified nurse-midwives. The hospital's childbirth center offers the first fully-equipped operating room suite in Hendersonville, a three-day Celebrate Pregnancy and Childbirth class, and breastfeeding support and instruction provided by board-certified lactation consultants. AdventHealth Hendersonville currently performs about 600 annual deliveries.
Henderson, known as 'Hendo' by locals, is nestled in North Carolina's stunning Blue Ridge Mountains about 23 miles from Asheville, which was once named the Happiest City in America.
Residents enjoy the area's ancient old growth forests, jaw-dropping scenery, waterfalls and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure, along with its vibrant art and music scenes. The Asheville-Hendersonville area boasts several popular music venues that attract national acts, and is a hub for galleries and studio walks with many artists calling the city home.
