The division of Pediatric Cardiology at Loma Linda University Children s Hospital is seeking a pediatric heart failure and transplantation physician. Applicants should have formal 4th year fellowship training in pediatric heart failure, cardiomyopathy, transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support and must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. Those with additional interest in pulmonary hypertension medicine are highly encouraged to apply. All academic ranks will be considered, and current trainees are welcome to apply.
Loma Linda University is world renown in the field of pediatric heart transplant medicine, having performed the first infant heart transplant in 1984 (Baby Fae ). To date, the program has performed over 600 heart transplants in children, including more infant and small child heart transplants than any center in the US. The new faculty member will join 3 other physicians as part of the Pulmonary Hypertension and Advanced Cardiac Therapies (PHACT) team. The team manages all transplant, heart failure and pulmonary hypertension patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our team participates in several multidisciplinary specialty clinics, including heart transplant clinic, heart failure clinic, pulmonary hypertension clinic, Fontan clinic, and neuromuscular disease clinic. Our center has participated in several multi-center research studies, including the PANORAMA-HF and TEAMMATE Trials, as well as participation in multiple research/collaborative databases (UNOS, PHTS, ACTION, STS, PC4).
The position also includes a faculty appointment with the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $296,000-$345,900. This amount does not include potential variable compensation or extra productivity pay and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
