Position Highlights:

- Outpatient pharmacy services at Hopi Health Care Center
- 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
- Active pharmacy license in any U.S. state
- Minimum of 2 years' pharmacy experience
- Prior IHS or federal facility experience preferred
- Contract or travel experience is highly desired
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify provider orders to ensure safe, effective medication therapy
- Dispense prescriptions and provide patient-centered counseling
- Conduct assessments to monitor medication use and outcomes
- Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure proper storage/safety protocols
- Prepare medications in compliance with sterile and non-sterile compounding standards
- Partner with other departments to support whole-patient care
- Serve as a clinical resource for drug therapy and interactions

Requirements
- Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
- Previous contract experience is a plus
- Previous IHS facility experience helpful
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Have a Pharmacist degree from a school of pharmacy approved by a state-accrediting agency
- Possess a current, active, unrestricted license from any of the 50 United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
- Maintain continuing education/certification
- Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist within the past 36 months
- References required
- Must meet all credentialing and background investigation requirements.
