We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide essential patient care and support rehabilitation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Participate in discharge planning and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and wellness strategies.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care by adhering to infection control protocols.

Experience

  • Previous experience in physical therapy settings is preferred, particularly in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, or inpatient care.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential.
  • A strong understanding of discharge planning processes within skilled nursing facilities or acute care environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
