Resurgens Orthopaedics is looking for a full-time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team! This role is split 50/50 between Snellville and Decatur, GA, giving you the best of both worlds.

Summary: The POSC Physician Assistant is designated to help cover the needs of the POSC clinical service lines at designated facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers through prompt response and courteous communication within 24 hours of the request.
- Provide orthopedic health care assessment and management of patients in a manner that will assure an excellent patient experience. The objective (metrics) and the subjective (patient experience) aspects of care will be determined and defined as needed by the POSC.
- Develop a positive relationship with physicians and team members of POSC as well as OR staff and other hospital personnel where services are provided.
- Perform selective medical and surgical services under the direction of POSC Physician/s.
- Function as a surgical first assist.
- Act as a role model for positive professional behavior at all times.
- Completes patient notes, op reports and other administrative tasks to insure accurate, timely and complete records for patient safety and billing purposes.
- Perform rounding at facilities as assigned..
- Provide clinical care to postoperative patients.
- Assist with marketing efforts that are determined by the POSC Marketing Director and POSC physicians.
- Assist in direct communication with other healthcare providers in a professional manner and representing POSC in a positive light.
- Participation in monthly Scientific Meeting as well as regularly scheduled PA and/or service line meetings.
Other Functions:
- Provide patient education to enhance their healthcare management.
- Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs when appropriate.
- Respond effectively and promptly to all patient requests, constantly striving to improve the patient experience.
- Assists in the evaluation, development and effectiveness of systems and protocols.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Graduation from a Nationally Accredited Physician’s Assistant program.
Licensure:
Must have current license with the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners
Current certification through NCCPA
Current DEA license
Current BLS or ACLS certification
Experience: Previous orthopedic and/or surgical experience preferred.
Skills:
Knowledge of the professional medical practice allowed by Colorado Licensure of Physician Assistants.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. Knowledge of OIG regulations, CPT and ICD-9 coding practices.
Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
Knowledge of EHR system. Type at least 50 WPM.
