WVUHS Medical Group seeks a General Surgeon at Grant Memorial Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in the primary location of Petersburg, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of general surgery.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed general surgery residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in general surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Founded in 1958, Grant Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Petersburg, West Virginia. The hospital serves a multi-county area with a wide range of healthcare services, including a 24/7, 13-bed Emergency Department; Surgical Care Clinic; Orthopedic Clinic; Podiatry Clinic; Cancer Center; Primary Care Clinic; Wound Care services; and the only Birthing Center in a five-county region. Petersburg is a progressive and picturesque community located in the Potomac Highlands; it’s nestled in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and known for its world-class trout fishing and hiking opportunities
