Neurosurgery Call Coverage Locums Job October 10-15 and 20-23 + Ongoing Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area that needs Neurosurgery 24-hour call coverage locum tenens assistance. The facility has one staffed Surgeon that will need an average of 7-10 days of call coverage support per month starting in October (specific dates listed below) and ongoing through 2026. If you can help with their October needs, you'll gain access to the call rotation and have the ability to pick up future dates on an ongoing basis. Seeking 24-hour call coverage, 7A - 7A, on the following shifts: Friday, October 10 at 7AM - Wednesday, October 15 at 7AM (will need to arrive on Thursday, 10/9 to complete training + orientation) Monday, October 20 at 7AM - Thursday, October 23 at 7AM Details/Requirements for Assignment : Active + unrestricted Virginia license required at time of presentation Must have an active VA DEA or be willing to transfer a DEA from another state Board Certification required + ACLS/BLS required Seeking Neurosurgery 24-hour ED call coverage (will be required to round, do any emergent procedures, etc.) One staffed Neurosurgeon presently, APP will be available to assist with daily patient rounding Can anticipate: emergent cranial and spinal cases and no elective cases or clinic duties Seeing mid-low volumes currently and anticipate 3-5 cases per week, 1-2 per weekend Epic EMR inpatient, Cerner outpatient, located in southeast Virginia, 295+ bed facility, not a designated trauma facility Jackson and Coker offers: + Weekly Direct Deposit + Top Rated Malpractice Insurance + In-House Travel Agency + 24/7 Recruiter Availability + Experienced In-House Privileging Coordinators
