Orthopedic Surgeon Locums Job in Iowa Full-Time Ongoing Coverage Beginning in October Assignment # 110876 Coverage Needed: Ongoing coverage starting in October Shift Description: Clinic hours, Monday Friday from 8am to 5pm, with night call 24-hour on-call on the weekends Requirements: Board Certified Must be licensed in Iowa or IMLC Clean malpractice history Must be able to give at least two weeks per month Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures Trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and other disorders Trauma Call required Assignment Details: Rounding on post-op patients, Inpatient/Emergency Department consults, Operating Room Average hospital daily census of 160 patients per day Appointments are around 10-30 minutes depending on new consult, recheck, post-op, or procedure Level 3 Trauma Center Group includes 4 physicians and 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with supervision expected for APPs Physician Nurse Ratio: 1 nurse per provider, 3 cast technicians per 7 providers Ancillary Staff: 2 Surgery Schedulers per 7 providers Number of Exam Rooms: 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms per provider Medical Imaging: Yes Lab & Pharmacy: Yes EMR: GE Centricity (Clinic) and EPIC (Hospital), clinic switching to EPIC in December Teaching Opportunity: Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency, Physicians Assistant student rotation Hub Hospital, Serve 16 surrounding counties, Population 200,000+ Jackson and Coker offers: + Weekly Direct Deposit + Top Rated Malpractice Insurance + In-House Travel Agency + 24/
