SUMMARY PPS is currently seeking a qualified PREA Manager for Paragon Professional Services, LLC in El Paso, TX. The PREA Manager will need to ensure EPSPC and all PPS operations are in compliance with National Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards and will be a liaison with ICE PREA Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. • Ensure EPSPC and all PPS operations are following National Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards • Conduct Liaison with ICE PREA Manager in all PREA matters • Create and accurately conduct any PREA incident within 2 hours of the initial report and send to designated ICE representative. • PREA coordinator will report all indents to IHSC (medical) immediately and ensure detainee receives adequate and proper health care. • Coordinate with all Stakeholders of the EPSPC, to include ACA, CDOS and all facility supervisors, staff and management. • Coordinate with medical and mental health providers, criminal investigators, prosecutors and other professionals in the PREA field • Ensure all staff training and staff are trained, with up to date PREA compliance with PREA regulations, standards and procedures • Ensure PREA training material is following PBNDS, NICIC, AJA, ACA and any other applicable National ICE policy. • Conduct daily visits, during normal working hours to ALL dorms and detainees housing units for interaction with detainees concerning general health and welfare of detainees and any PREA / SAPPI issues. • Sign Logbooks of each Post that is inspected each day. Any PREA related concerns and topics will be immediately reported to Medical, COS, APM, PM and ICE representative. • Ensure that all PREA, ICE or other applicable posters and notifications are in each dorm, housing unit and areas detainees have common access too. • Conduct investigations for PREA incidents. PREA coordinator reports will be at a level that the report will potentially be used in legal criminal cases. • Prepare and maintain all PREA compliance material and logs for 2011 PBNDS (rev 2016) standards, ACA, ODO, NICIC and National PREA Audits • Host Bi-Weekly PREA Meetings • Attend periodic training and refresher courses for all PBNDS standards and PREA related policies and procedures. • Respond to all Emergency Incidents, while on duty and any major incident during weekends, evenings and nights. This would include pandemic response, riots and physical altercations. • Other duties as assigned by APM or PM QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.Must be able to conduct liaison with ICE PREA Manager in all PREA matters, conduct any PREA incident within 2hours of initial report, coordinate all reports to IHSC and ensure detainee receives adequate and proper health care.PREA manager will coordinate with all Stakeholders of the EPSPC, and with medical and mental health providers, criminal investigators, prosecutors and other professionals in the PREA field. Conduct training and daily visits during normal working hours to the facility to include all dormitories where detainees are. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • No supervisory responsibilities. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
