Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Join a team that s Changing What s Possible The Medical University of South Carolina s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is actively recruiting for a General Psychiatrist to provide services at our MUSC Orangeburg location.

This opportunity will be mainly in an ambulatory clinic with some coverage for hospital-based services (inpatient and consults) This ambulatory clinic is an established practice with one psychologist and a licensed professional counselor. This role includes being a member of the teaching faculty for our MUSC Orangeburg Psychiatry Residency Program.

We are seeking candidates with:

• Training from an accredited Psychiatry Program
• Board Certification / Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
• Previous experience in teaching residents/medical students preferred, but not required.

Our opportunity:

• Ambulatory Clinic Space near hospital
• Some hospital-based consults during clinic hours if needed.
• Cover inpatient unit for vacations and sickness when needed.
• Will be a member of the teaching faculty in the MUSC Orangeburg Psychiatry Residency Program
• Providers have the opportunity to live outside the greater Orangeburg area and commute to work.

The candidate chosen for this role will be connected to MUSC s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Charleston and will receive access to the division s resources, as well as clinical support from the Charleston team.
