Centurion
The Psychiatrist (Maryland) provides the clinical direction needed to meet the behavioral health/psychiatric service delivery requirements of a specific region and works in collaboration with the Statewide Psychiatric Director and the Program Manager. The Chief Psychiatrist supervises psychiatric staff and collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams in providing services to patients with psychiatric disorders in correctional facilities within the specified region.
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
• Active and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain licensure
• Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Two (2) years of previous leadership/directorship experience required
• Correctional environment experience preferred
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check
