Description Summary: A professional who utilizes the nursing process to assess, implement, coordinate, and evaluate oncology/hematology patient care activities. Collaborate with other Clinical Associates and Healthcare disciplines to meet individual needs using appropriate resources to ensure quality, safe, and cost-effective care. Nurtures a working relationship with physicians, nursing staff, and other disciplines involved in the care of the patient/family. Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources. Requirements: Current Louisiana RN license. BLS certification required. Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday Work Type: Full Time
