Duties Work in a 24-bed med-surg/telemetry overflow unit with a patient ratio of 1:6, supported by CNAs with a 1:12 ratio. Monitor and correctly treat dysrhythmias, with telemetry monitored on another unit by a tech. Float to sister units as required. Work every other weekend. Participate in unit and hospital orientation, including 36 hours of unit orientation. Skills Proficient in telemetry and able to treat dysrhythmias. Familiar with unit systems such as Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience required. No first-time travelers accepted; unit will not accept first-time travelers. Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Additional Details: Shift: 12-hour nights. Contracts for 14-15 weeks available. 36 or 48 hours can be offered; overtime applies after 48 hours if applicable. Scrubs: Navy Blue. Hospital orientation during the first week, with mandatory class attendance.
