Position Summary The Registered Nurse in Obstetrics provides high-quality nursing care to maternal and newborn patients under the direction of the Acute Care Directors. This role encompasses labor and delivery, postpartum, and C-section care for both patients and their babies. The RN will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a supportive and compassionate environment that aligns with the hospital's caring philosophy.
Responsibilities:
Deliver quality nursing care to maternal and newborn patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and C-section processes. Work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive services that reflect the caring philosophy of the hospital. Assess and monitor the health and progress of both mother and baby during labor and after delivery. Educate patients and families on care procedures, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions in compliance with hospital policies. Be prepared to respond to emergencies and complications during labor and delivery with appropriate interventions.
