The Role

An opportunity has presented through growth for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Jem Health team as a Registered Nurse/Occupational Health Assessor (OHA) on a permanent part-time basis, for immediate start. Your role will be to provide exceptional service, consistent quality and attention to detail in the delivery of employment-related health assessments and occupational health initiatives. This role is anticipated to be offered at a part-time capacity (4 days per week), and will be based in our Kinross clinic.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Occupational Health Assessments including pre-employment medicals, audiometry, spirometry, ECGs, drug screening, functional capacity assessments and fitness testing.
  • Timely and accurate reporting
  • High level compliance and observation of privacy act
  • Worker health checks
  • General administration
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels & equipment
  • Health and wellness projects, initiatives, training and promotion
  • Contribute to client relationship management, continuous improvement and business growth initiatives
  • Commitment and compliance to strong safety culture

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor degree in Health Science (Nursing) or similar health discipline
  • High interest in occupational health
  • Registration/accreditation with AHPRA
  • Current and maintained First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain/renew)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport
  • Intermediate to strong computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and using two screens
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Team contributor
  • High level of professionalism
  • A very high level of care and attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management, organisational skills and ability to work autonomously and as a team
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Desirable but not essential Criteria
  • Experience/exposure to Occupational Health
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS
  • Experience or Qualification in Audiometry
  • Experience or Qualification in Spirometry
  • Experience or Qualification in Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Valid Drivers Licence
