Shift Details:

  • Full-time, choice of day or night shifts (rotating weekends required)

  • Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Step-Down Unit

  • Patient Population: Higher-acuity trauma and post-surgical patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU-level care

  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4

  • On Call: None

Your Role:

  • Deliver expert nursing care to step-down/PCU trauma patients

  • Monitor and respond to critical changes in patient conditions

  • Collaborate with ICU, ED, and surgical teams to ensure smooth transitions and coordinated care

  • Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, recovery expectations, and discharge plans

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in the EMR system

  • Ensure clinical excellence while fostering a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment
