Job Title: School Psychologist - New Heights
Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
FTE/Hours per Day: 0.5 FTE
Qualifications:
School Psychologist licensure issued by the State of Minnesota PELSB.

Salary/Wage Information: As per the SCEA Master Contract, $53,710 - $101,338 (based on 1.0 FTE) is the salary range. A generous insurance plan is including medical, life and Short Term Disability insurance. See attached SCEA Contract for more information.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts comprehensive psychoeducational assessments including, but not limited to, academic, social / emotional / behavioral and cognitive functioning.
Provides direct services to help meet the needs of students with Individual Educational Plans (IEP’s).
Assists administrators and staff in the evaluation and improvement of school programs for assessment and evaluation.
Communicates effectively assessment and evaluation findings, conclusions, and recommendations through oral and written reporting to staff, community professional services providers, and families of students.
Actively engages and collaborates with school staff, student families and community-based service providers in promoting school successes for students.
Prepares a variety of assessment and evaluation reports, attends Child Study meetings, and performs other duties as apparent or assigned by the site Principal or Director.
Systematic observation and interviewing.
Understanding the psychometric properties of various test instruments.
Facility to administer intelligence, academic and social / emotional / behavioral measures.
Familiarity with functional assessment, Response to Intervention (RtI) processes and crisis intervention
Ability to manage students’ IEP’s directly and/or participate and contribute to team management of students’ IEP’s.
Knowledge of special education laws, rules and proscribed procedural processes and the ability to apply them to help ensure District compliance.
Compliance with established Federal, State and District policies and regulations covering this position.
Cultural sensitivity to racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and other minority populations.
