Purpose: Trillium Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Physician specializing in Infectious Diseases to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in our licensed diagnostic and treatment center under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer and the Medical Director of Infectious Diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Provide Infectious Disease Consultation to adult patients on-site in clinic with an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Participate in a rotating weekly phone-based call system to handle urgent patient communications, ED visits, hospital admissions, panic lab values, etc.

Teaching/Training:

  • Precept students, residents, and other medical staff during elective rotations at Trillium Health.
  • Obtain 100 or more CME credits every two years to remain eligible for medical staff credentialing and commercial insurance credentialing.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Complete all clinical documentation within 3 business days of medical treatment.
  • Conduct Ongoing Peer Reviews on a quarterly basis and Focused Peer Reviews as assigned.
  • Perform duties related to quality assurance and other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: M.D. or D.O. Degree and Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine, with a Fellowship in Infectious Disease. Or HIV specialist physicians as credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, lift, or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
