Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage in Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative cardiac surgery team at a Level II Trauma Center just outside Washington, D.C.

• Schedule: 4x10s, Monday Friday (16 shifts/month)
• Setting: OR, CVICU, consults, and post-op care
• Call: None
• Patients: 8 15 per day, shared across the team
• EMR: Epic

• Arrive at 6:30 AM, complete interval H&P notes for surgical patients
• First assist in the OR (1 2 cases/day, average 2 5 days/week)
• Post-op care, central line/arterial line placement, chest tubes, wound vac care
• Support consults and rounding on CVICU patients

• Certification: Board Certified, ACLS, BLS, DEA, CSR
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in CV OR required
• Must be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting using the Vasoview Hemopro system
• Maryland license (or willing to obtain)
