Surgery - General Physician Assistant

Advanced Practice - Cardiovascular/Cardiothorac opening - Springfield, ORNP/PA Vein harvesting experience required Position Details:

• Full time, permanent
• Employed Position
• Recognized as an STS 3-Star for the CABG Program.
• Practice is consistently growing, increasing the Cardiac, Thoracic and TAVR cases annually.
• Schedule: 1 Clinic Day per Week w/ remainder being OR and IP Management.
• Supportive Administration & Collegial Staff.
• Office space and necessary equipment available.
• Office has 16 exam rooms, Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
• CTS Program currently has 1 Surgeon, 1 Physician Assistant with additional coverage in place - looking to add a 2nd PA/NP.
• Call responsibilities include OR Coverage, Inpatient Management, and Outpatient Phone Calls. Call is shared with additional support from locums and is highly manageable leading to great quality of life.
Candidate Qualifications:
• Experience in Vein Harvesting.
• Experience as Surgical 1st Assist.
• Certified PA/NP.
• Must be able to provide: Surgical 1st Assist including VATS and Thoracotomies, Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Pre-op evaluation of patients and surgery prep, post-op inpatient management in CVICU and Telemetry Floor as well as post-op evaluations in follow-up appointments.
