Opportunities:

• Thoracic (Weston, Wisconsin): This is a new program that is being implemented here at MCHS. This role will work in partnership with the thoracic surgeon. There will be outreach to the Marshfield Center to help support the clinic there.
• Urology
  • (Marshfield, Wisconsin): In this role, you will join the largest urology group within MCHS along with a possibility of a flexible schedule of 4 10hr days should you wish. Rotating call will be 1:5.
• Orthopedics
  • (Marshfield, Wisconsin): In this role, you will join a group of nine NPs & PAs who support thirteen surgical orthopedic physicians. You will rotate between assisting in the OR, Clinic and Inpatient rounding duties. Call is 1:9.
  • (Weston, Wisconsin): This role will be a 50/50 split between hospital and clinic duties. A schedule of Mon-Fri 10am-6pm is planned with Saturday work as well (4 hours). The team is looking for an APC with one-two years of orthopedic experience.
• Occupational Medicine (Iron Mountain, Michigan): This role is a 100% Occupational Health department. Requires Worker's Compensation injuries, acute injuries, and causation determination.

The physician assistant is a skilled member of the allied healthcare team, who is expected to practice at the highest level of their licensure. This requires providers to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based medicine. They work collaboratively with the Hospitalist to facilitate acute care of the adult patient. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers and other healthcare disciplines, utilizing a team approach. The Physician Assistant participates in all aspects of care of the hospitalized patient, including admissions, discharge, daily rounds and patient education.

Requirements:

• Three years' experience as a staff in a hospital setting preferred
• Current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant Licensure
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire
