OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction.
This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.

At UAB St. Vincent s Birmingham Birthing Suites, OB/GYN specialists provide comprehensive care before, during, and after pregnancy, with personalized support that honors each patient's preferences and includes 24/7 emergency obstetrics services. The care team includes certified nurse midwives, neonatal nurses, and pediatric specialists, offering services such as breastfeeding support, childbirth classes, labor and delivery care, and postpartum support. High-risk pregnancies are managed by maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists who provide advanced diagnostics and collaborate closely with OB/GYNs to address conditions like gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and multiple births. New families have access to a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and a designation as a Certified Safe Sleep Hospital.
