Urgent Care Physician Assistant

Schedule:

We are seeking two experienced Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine providers to cover Monday - Sunday shifts from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. We are flexible and can accommodate both full-time (12+ shifts per month) and part-time (6+ shifts per month) commitments.

This role involves travel between our primary site and Meadville, with all locations no more than 30 miles apart. Sites will be staffed with 1-3 providers per day. If a physician is not on site, a physician will be remotely available for escalation.

Responsibilities & Patient Caseload:

You will be expected to work independently (without direct onsite supervision), managing an average patient volume of 3-4 patients per hour. Medical assistants and rad techs will be onsite to support you.

Typical urgent care assignments include seeing patients with:

• Cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, minor burns.

You will also be expected to perform:

• Suturing/Wound Care/I&Ds
• Splinting
• X-Rays/EKGs
• Drawing Blood/IV/Injections

Requirements:

• Experience:
• If ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine) certified, a minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
• If ABFM (American Board of Family Medicine) or ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) certified, a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is required.
• Minimum Board Certification: Board Certified (BC)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• EMR System: Proficiency with Epic EMR system is required.
