Urgent Care Physician Assistant

We re partnering with a respected urgent care facility in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment starting in June 2025. This role offers consistent 12-hour day shifts, full travel coverage, and the opportunity to work independently in a busy clinic supported by onsite medical assistants and radiologic technologists.

Position Details

• Start Date: June 2025

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (8 AM 8 PM), Monday through Sunday

• Minimum Commitment: shifts per month

• Setting: Solo provider coverage in an urgent care clinic

• Clinical Support: Onsite medical assistants and rad techs

• EMR: Epic

• Credentialing: Full and temporary privileges available
  
  

Typical Patient Presentation

• Cold/flu symptoms

• Rashes and minor skin conditions

• Sprains, abrasions, and minor burns

• Splinting and minor procedures

• All high-acuity cases referred to the local ER
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience

• Active DEA and CSR

• West Virginia license required (IMLC candidates accepted with full WV license by start date)

• Background in Urgent Care, Hospital, or Family Practice settings
  
  

Compensation & Travel

• Hourly Rate: $130/hour

• Travel: Fully covered (mileage, lodging, rental car & fuel, airfare)
