Urgent Care Physician Assistant

We re partnering with three respected urgent care facilities nestled in the heart of Southern West Virginia, offering locum tenens opportunities across Beckley, Princeton, and Fayetteville. We are seeking Board-Certified Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for locum tenens assignments starting in June 2025. These roles offer consistent 12-hour day shifts, full travel coverage, and the chance to work independently in supportive environments with medical assistants and radiologic technologists onsite.

Position Details

• Start Date: June 21, 2025

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (8 AM 8 PM), Monday through Sunday

• Minimum Commitment: shifts per month

• Setting: Solo provider coverage in a busy urgent care clinic

• Clinical Support: Onsite medical assistants and rad techs

• EMR: Epic

• Credentialing: Full and temporary privileges available
  
  

Typical Patient Presentation

• Cold/flu symptoms

• Rashes and minor skin conditions

• Sprains, abrasions, and minor burns

• Splinting and minor procedures

• All high-acuity cases referred to the local ER
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience

• Active DEA and CSR

• West Virginia license required
  (IMLC candidates accepted with full WV license by start date)

• Background in Urgent Care, Hospital, or Family Practice settings
  
  

Compensation & Travel

• Hourly Rate: $130/hour

• Travel: Fully covered mileage, lodging, rental car & fuel, airfare
