Urology Physician

Shift

• Monday to Friday 8 hours clinic and surgery with night call
• Weekend call and rounding required

Description

• Position involves outpatient and inpatient care in a trauma level three and stroke certified facility
• Support staff includes three medical assistants and one physician assistant or nurse practitioner
• Electronic medical record systems used are Athena and Meditech
• Department includes three beds
• Call type is beeper with a thirty minute response time
• Expected call back is twenty five percent
• Locum provider will cover both inpatient and outpatient calls

Experience

• Ability to manage 20 patients per shift
• Comfortable with inpatient and outpatient settings
• Experience with both rounding and call responsibilities

License

• Active Alabama license or IMLC

Certifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

Must-Have

• Experience in general urology and adult patient care
• Ability to perform ureteroscopy
• Experience with renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy
• Proficiency in extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy ESWL
• Familiarity with nuclear cardiology procedures including cardiolyte and thallium
• Capability to manage STEMI cases
