The Section of Vascular Surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to serve the inpatient needs of the Section. Engaging in state-of-the-art endovascular and open vascular surgery, the candidate will work closely with our highly skilled surgeons, clinical and inpatient nurses, and advanced practice providers to optimize patient care and outcomes. Operating room responsibilities may be available. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing an independent caseload. They will work with referring providers and attending physicians to ensure that community needs for vascular surgery services are being met. This candidate is fully integrated into section functions, including weekly conference, teaching, and research projects when applicable. This is a day shift position with 10-hour shifts that are scheduled flexibly over four days. There is no night or call requirement for this position.

There are ample opportunities to be involved in research as well as clinical teaching with residents, fellows, medical students, and precepting APRN and PA students. A faculty appointment through Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program
  • National specialty certification as FNP, Acute or Primary Care A-GNP or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Required Licensure/Certifications
  • Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only)
  • Eligible for PA licensure in the State of NH
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
  • BLS certification
