The UTMB Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinician with a passion for academics to actively participate in our division's activities at the Assistant Professor level. We are an academic Division committed to excellence in patient care, education and research. Our faculty members include 14 physician-scientists or physician-educators and 6 Ph.D. scientists. The ID Division is an important part of a very large infectious disease research community at UTMB, which includes investigators in multiple Departments, Centers, and Institutes. Our division works closely with the Center for Tropical Diseases, Institute for Human Infection and Immunity, Center for Global Health Education, and the Departments of Pathology and of Microbiology and Immunology.
Assistant Professor Infectious Diseases will provide ID inpatient consultation coverage at the Clear Lake Campus and will establish 1 to 2 weekly half-day outpatient clinic sessions at League City and/or Clear Lake campuses. This faculty member will also participate in multiple academic endeavors of the division including the supervision students, residents and/or fellows in the inpatient consultation service and outpatient clinic.
