Infectious Diseases Specialist (Dallas, TX)
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine, is seeking an Infectious Diseases Specialist. Applicants must have an M.D. degree, ECFMG equivalent, or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school, be board-certified in Internal Medicine and board-certified or eligible in Infectious Diseases and must have or be eligible for Texas medical licensure. The primary roles and responsibilities will be to provide patient care on UT Southwestern Infectious Diseases Inpatient Consultation services and Outpatient Clinics primarily at Parkland Health. Candidates will also be expected to develop an academic program that focuses on quality patient care, outcomes, or other clinically oriented research. Other duties can include sharing attending duties on General Infectious Diseases, HIV services, and Bone & Joint Consult services. Participation in the teaching and training of medical and physician assistant students, residents, and ID fellows is also expected.
