Now Hiring | Nurse Manager – Emergency Department

We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Emergency Department to lead a newly renovated ED in Baltimore, Maryland. This full-time leadership role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in fast-paced emergency settings and is passionate about patient safety, staff development, and operational excellence.

As the Nurse Manager, you’ll serve as a clinical and operational leader, ensuring high-quality emergency and trauma-level care while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead safe, high-quality emergency and trauma-level patient care
  • Serve as the clinical and operational leader for ED staff
  • Ensure staff competency, compliance, and adherence to unit standards
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and budget targets
  • Champion patient experience and National Patient Safety Goals
  • Support onboarding, performance management, and staff development
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote inclusion and teamwork
  • Drive evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • BSN from a CCNE-accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Maryland RN License (MBON)
  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • ACLS & PALS (per unit guidelines)
  • Emergency Department / ER nursing experience
  • Proven leadership and people-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MSN / MHA / MBA or related)
  • 5+ years of progressive ER nursing experience with leadership exposure
  • Level II Trauma experience
  • National certification (within 1 year of hire preferred)
