Job Description
The role of the Physician will provide direct patient care through patient assessments, follow-up examinations, diagnostic assessments, and performing procedures and surgery.
Essential Skills and Functions
Clinical
- Perform obstetric and gynecological procedures and surgeries
- Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring safe and evidence-based care for both mother and newborn throughout labor and delivery
- Address all patient concerns and answer their questions as accurately as possible
- Monitor patients progress through follow-up appointments; advise them on suitable aftercare measures and medication they may require
- Make appropriate patient referrals to specialists as necessary
- Maintain a collaborative environment with other medical providers and clinic staff to provide quality patient care
- Maintain current knowledge of medical procedures and treatment, including participating in professional development activities and maintaining professional affiliations.
- Functions independently to perform a broad range of services including, but not limited to the following:
- Patient assessment
- Diagnosing and treating health conditions
- Developing treatment plans
- Prescribe medications appropriately
- Patient education
Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients and patient family members
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information, following strict security and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work effectively with other team members including:
- Clinical Staff
- Physicians
- Clinic Management
- Outside Business Partners
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical License
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven work experience in an out-patient OBGyn practice setting
- Highly motivated and organized
- Able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with electronic medical record systems (Athena is a plus)
- Fluent in English
- Excel under pressure with attention to detail
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations
- Ability to exercise high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making
Job Location: Frisco, TX
Hours: Mon - Thurs 8 am - 5 pm; Fri 8 am - Noon. Full-time.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in direct patient care as an OBGyn physician.
Education:
- Medical degree and completion of an accredited OBGYN residency program
- Valid Texas Medical License
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid CPR certification
